  • Chrome pole is stuck inside the black pole
    +

For our TSC professional dress form models, the video below will explain what to do should your chrome pole get stuck inside your black pole.

    There are basically two scenarios:

    • Scenario 1: if there is enough of the chrome pole (about 5 inches) protruding from the black pole. The solution to this is to reinstall the poles into the base, secure them and then use the regular pedal function to release the poles.
    • Scenario 2: there is not enough of the chrome protruding from the black pole (or if the chrome pole is completely inside the black pole). The solution to this is to disassemble the chrome pole parts, remove them from the black pole and then reassemble the chrome pole.

  • Difficulty aligning the split triangles of the chrome poles
    +

If you have followed the assembly guides and are still having difficulty getting the split triangles on the top of your chrome pole to align (so that you can slide the black pole over), please see the video below. The solution is usually to confirm that the chrome pole is properly installed in the base. If it is fully and correctly installed and you are still having this issue, you would need to lower the tension of the pole by slightly loosening the nut at the bottom.

Please remember that with a normal installation, the split triangles only align while your foot is fully depressed on the pedal.

  • Finial is slanted
    +

The solution is to twist the black pole until the angled top of the black pole (which pokes through the neck and has the screw threads for the finial) so that it aligns with the angle of the forms neck. Now the finial should be able to be screwed on properly.

(This finial issue is only applicable to some of our earlier Half Body Professional Dress Form versions.)

  • Professional Dress Forms: all height adjusting, swaying or assembly/ disassembly issues
    +

The chrome pole (the "tension pole") with the split triangles on the top is the backbone of height adjustability of Professional Dress Forms. When properly installed in the base, it should hold the form at your desired height and allow you to adjust the height (via depressing the foot pedal) when needed. If you are having an issue with this stage in the assembly of your form, the height got stuck, the form seems to sway or the chrome pole had been disassembled and you need help with the reassembly, please see the guides below.
